Achievable metal density
Sinter is Segal's powder-bed fusion platform, spanning SLS for nylon and DMLS for metal. A fibre-laser galvo fuses each layer inside an inert-atmosphere chamber held under tight thermal control, producing dense, isotropic parts. Because the un-fused powder supports the part, SLS geometry needs no support structure at all — nest the build volume full and recover the powder. This is laser *sintering*, not laser cutting: it builds solid parts layer by layer, it does not profile sheet.
